Our first overnight in the RV was to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and local redwoods. Parking for the day near the rides is a great strategy for giving kids a rest when they need it, and blowing out the entire day at a reasonable pace. When hungry, we just headed back to the rig for some shade and healthy snacks. Hot? Grab a towel and bathing suit and cool down in the waves. After getting our fill of roller coasters, we trucked up to the local Redwoods to stay overnight at Little Basin. In the morning, we drove to Big Basin to do the Redwood loop.
