Moms With Apps is a collaborative community of family-friendly developers who make apps for the iPhone and iPad. Moms With Apps was founded by Lorraine Akemann along with three other mom app developers in November of 2009 while they explored new ways to market their apps. By 2011, the community has grown to over 800 developers, and takes up most of Lorraine's time while her kids are at school. The Moms With Apps catalog on iTunes is growing every day and includes over 2000 apps for kids, organized by educational category. The purpose of the group is to support developers with best practices, support families who are trying to find apps for kids, and to advocate for healthy intersections of kids and technology.
