Another trip to the library uncovered a book called Kanzashi in Bloom. Kanzashi are Japanese flower designs made from folded fabric. So with 30 minutes to spare until school pick ups, I grabbed some fabric, scissors and thread to get started. This yellow flower with a thrift-store earring embellishment is my first floral creation. I can tell there will be many more flowers in the house soon. For an online tutorial, I found this post from Kimono Reincarnate.
