Horses & Cabins of Wyoming

Our trip to Yellowstone started about 30 miles west of Cody Wyoming, just outside of the park entrance. We stayed at the Absaroka Mountain Lodge in a small cabin in the Shoshone Forest. Wranglers were available for horseback riding, which included trails in the valley, river crossings, and a hot meal waiting for you near the end. We had so much fun horseback riding, that we signed up again on our last day there. The people were nice, the showers were hot, the proximity to the park entrance was pretty close, and there was no cell phone access. That last fact, may actually have been the best part.
