The Wisdom of Kids

Being Easter Sunday, I didn't want the day to pass without some conversation of why this day is significant. Maybe it was just as much a reminder for me, as for my 6 year old daughter. So I set up a little Easter Breakfast on our patio and invited the kids to listen to Easter stories over cereal & milk. We talked about spring, and new growth, forgiveness and second chances. Sometimes I get a little carried away, and I murmured, out loud, about the actual significance of the Easter Bunny.

My daughter responds, "Mom, I think that's just something fun for the kids, you know, so they can have fun today."

Oooo, you have a sharp one there, Lorraine! You better keep your eye on that one :).

LittleMan had a similar conversation with us this Easter. He told us that he wanted to continue pretending for his little sister.
