This is a snapshot of my craft area, which is a 2'x4' shelf jammed into the corner of our entryway. It may be small, but its influence over the household is large. The craft area welcomes all ages and stages - no art expertise required. It is stocked with recycled containers to hold supplies, and random trinkets waiting to be transformed.
Many nights I spend an hour here before going to bed, and the girls wake up to find a handmade surprise. School projects even come to visit for added detail and flair. But what I like most is that when I'm here, I'm not at a computer keyboard in a solo world. In the craft corner, as small as it may be, I'm out in the open. The girls can comment, experiment, and join as they wish.
