The Castle in Napa

Tucked along Highway 29 in Napa Valley, just North of St. Helena, is a castle winery that had some intrigue for the whole family. Castello di Amorosa is a Tuscan Castle where you can get an authentic feel of being in a 'real' castle with beautiful views of the valley. Children under 4 are not allowed on the guided tours, but roaming around on our own was more interesting anyways. Grape juice is available for kids in the wine tasting room. While my husband participated in the tasting, I let the kids look through some of the children's books of knights and dragons. Overall, a fun outing during our weekend in the valley. This post was inspired by Debbie Dubrow's features on Napa last month over at Delicious Baby.

I had no idea there was anywhere like this is California. I'd love to take my kids someday. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! I have to echo Debi. I never thought we will have anything like that here. How cool! I have to admit Napa wasn't really on my radar (since we don't drink wine) but now I have to rethink about this destination. :)

Very cool spot! Another thing to add to our growing list of things to do when visiting the grandparents in Northern California. By the way, we loaded up the little suitcase app for our recent trip to Germany and my four year old daughter LOVES it! Thank you!

When we visited Napa a few years ago we saw this but it wasn't on our list of places we were stopping. Now I wish we had! I love that a lot of family friendly wineries have grape juice for the kids so families feel welcome. Just because they make and sell wine does not mean that kids can't learn something from the process, the grounds, etc!

How cool! I've never seen anything about this place. The castle looks like as much fun to visit as the wine tour... well, almost. Happy Friday!

I had no idea that place existed! I am bummed we have never been there and now we are so far away!
