Night and Day: Honolulu

View from the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Grand Waikikian Tower, Honolulu, HI. Big cities on small islands are nothing new, but it's still a bit odd when you find yourself actually on one. Dining on the balcony and feeling the breeze was exhilarating. Wasn't so exhilarating when the kids wanted to peer over it, but they were certainly mesmerized by the city lights (and the hula dancers, and the shave ice, and the waterslide pool, and the flower leis, and...you get the picture).

More views available today at Photo Friday!

So pretty...and so high up! We are headed to Hawaii in October (prob already told you that!) and every time you post pictures from your trip I get more and more anxious for my trip!

Very neat! I love the color of the sky at night. Very beautiful but then again anything from Hawaii is always beautiful in my eyes. :)

Ooh, great perspective -- I'm sure for the most part Hawaii is prettiest by day, but I love the night scene you captured. Incredible sky! Happy Friday.

I love the night picture. It made me remember just how pretty a metropolitan city can be at night.

What a difference! I totally get different vibes from looking at those photos. They almost seem like different locations.
