Sea Turtles With Kids

Last year I posted about my business partner's annual trip to Baja. It's been such a hit for the entire family that they now go twice a year - and this time, they got to see the baby turtles. I loved seeing these shots of their girls imagining life as a baby sea turtle. If this isn't a case for the benefits of travel, I'm not sure what is.

This post is part of Photo Friday, a weekly exchange of travel stories and inspirations.

I would love to see baby sea turles. I think I would be right down the ground along with those girls if I were so lucky!

If I don't know of a better reason to plan a vacation to Baja, then...well I think it's a darn good reason anyway.

From the moment I learned about Papa Turle (http://trippingwithkids.com/archives/2009/10/19/monday-is-for-dreaming-papa-turtle/) I have wanted to find a way to let my kids experience this. I'd love to hear more about the time/place you went. Was it a coincidence that you saw turtles or did you find a place just for that.

Hi Lora - it was a coincidence that turned into a really cool educational experience. Annabel's girls (my business partner) were actually a part of the release of the turtles back into the ocean. There is a conservation group in that area that watches out for new nests and then makes sure the birds don't eat them before hatching.
