What Beach Am I?

I was planning to post another photo journal for this week's Photo Friday, but then I saw this in my list of shots, and decided to stop and take in the scene. Sigh. This is one of the reasons blogging has become such a fun sport, it doesn't let life's greater moments pass you by.

Answer to the location will be unveiled next week - unless, of course, you guess it right!

One of my favorite places of all times. We used to go here in the winter when the weather was still nice and warm -- with tropical rain to keep things cool. The beaches are the best.

I'm guessing Hawaii since you labelled it Hawaii! But I've no idea about individual beaches there!

It is so awesome of you to offer to fly a family of 4 to that very location if we guess correctly! How generous!

It's Waikiki Beach, the Mountain in the background is Diamond Head!

Oh my goodness. That water looks amazing. What a gorgeous view. I have no idea where it could be. Jamaica? Hawaii? Mexico?

Kalua Bay in Oahu? Those white sand beaches like that. If it is, then that's the beach where I took a funny and ungraceful tumble with a wave with a younger D. We both emerged covered in white sand and me with a bleeding leg. Very extreme.

Yes, Kailua Beach on the island of Oahu. It's refreshing, pristine, and simply beautiful. Highly recommended if you are headed over the the Hawaiian Islands!

Looks incredible.

My husband often went to Hawaii for family vacations as a child and now I can see what he remembers so fondly.
