What Works

There is an exhibit at one of our local Bay Area museums that has been a hit for us ever since my daughter could walk. It's made out of recycled water bottles. The bottles are filled with different colors of water, which are illuminated by the light of the window.

The children stack, sort, make designs, use teamwork, get excited, and have fun. When we visit the museum again, they repeat the process. There are no words on this exhibit. It's something I could make in my own backyard. Yet it is one of the most engaging areas of the museum.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. A life-sized children's exhibit, made by My Busy Kit. Maybe my carport has another use after all...

I have not been to the Coyote Point Museum since my son was a toddler, thinking it's time to get back there soon. So many cool museums in the Bay Area, so little time.
